Sweden need a spetsuniversitet in technology and health. Access to leading international research and to people with the knowledge that creates in technology, biotechnology, medical technology and medicine is vital for our country prosperous - socially, industrially and economically.
We can not continue with a state system of higher education based on a lot of good universities, but only occasional leading international research groups. The government’s case against freer universities need to be adopted quickly, and are linked to increased resources for universities and colleges. Denmark is a role model
Look at Denmark, which has gathered the technological research in the technical universities! This is the result of a strategic work. Even in Sweden globalization must mean that we should be able to compete globally. Then, we need not only spetsmiljoer, but the whole spetsuniversitet to assert ourselves.
Without a few multinational companies - and their research and development efforts to develop world-class products in telecommunications, forestry, steel, vehicles and engineering - we would not cost us as well. In the case of research at universities and colleges is the difference with other countries only one-tenth of one percent up or down.
Give the technology a chance to create a better future
Innovation priority at this stage before the technology on the research. There are exceptions, however, that efforts within the automotive sector. In such a situation, claiming the Swedish University of Technology, which Royal Institute of Technology, Chalmers, Lund and Linkoping well. Give Swedish institutions freedom! Give universities that are best placed resources! Give technology the chance to create a better future as it always done! To sit still and observe the developments in energy, environment and development in other countries is devastating.
