Sweden reach the head of the UN Committee for Peace

Sweden was chosen to lead the group in Burundi under the UN Commission for the construction of peace, to help Bujumbura to escape the conflict, said new China mentioning the website of the United Nations. The successor and Sweden to Norway to lead the working group of the UN commission. The Burundi was plagued by coups and political instability since its independence in 1962. Last May, the Burundian government and one rebel group signed a declaration on the cessation of hostilities, turning the hope for the peace process in the country. Besides Burundi, the UN Commission for the construction of peace, set in December 2005, also has working groups for the Central African Republic, Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone.
