Sweden: The potential, an elixir anti-discrimination

Under the European Equal, Sweden recommends the recruitment of potential with the capacity to acquire skills, as a means to fight against discrimination. Excerpts.
One of the major objectives of Equal in Sweden will make working conditions characterized by the absence of discrimination, equal opportunity and diversity, each operator’s personal skills and its development potential, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any functional disabilities. A strategy of education and training throughout life, is a key feature of the Swedish policy for growth and equal opportunities. Everyone must be able to develop according to its own potential. The overall emphasis on measures of Social Fund in Sweden will therefore focus on the development of individuals, rising to first place by strengthening their skills. This applies both to employees for the unemployed. A diversity policy is based on the idea that human resources are crucial in today’s society of knowledge. We must take full advantage of the full powers of each and its development potential.
