Ottawa, October 17, 1994 Mr. Michel Dupuy, Minister of Canadian Heritage, today announced the signing of an agreement on the television and film co-production between Canada and Sweden. The agreement was signed today in Stockholm, by Erik Lempert, Deputy Permanent Secretary of State attached to the Ministry of Culture, for Sweden, and Michael B. Phillips, Canada’s ambassador to Sweden. Sweden is the first Scandinavian country to sign an agreement of this sort with Canada. These agreements are an international co-production means more and more used to share costs and high risks for Canadians as for the Swedes, combined to produce works of cultural interest of quality and access to markets foreigners.
